Hi all
In the past I have been a rugaholic, and have more rugs than I am prepared to count.
They have recently been getting unruly, and have started to slither (or perhaps ooze?) out of the attic doors...I need help containing them.
Can anyone suggest any cheap and very light boxes big enough to suppress the migratory instincts that some of my rugs seem to be showing?
All suggestions welcomed - if I don't reply it will be because the rugs smother me in my sleep. :p :D
S :D

go to B n M! We got some big ones as we were moving ponies, they were ace and really cheap :) My friend has some huuuuge vacuum pack ones too which I'm quite jealous of, I have never found any big enough though...

I will second that!

I am too... a *deep breath* Rugoholic.
Highland pony with too many.. and I bought another one today, it's CRBD.. Compulsive Rug Buying Disorder! X

Back to the boxes though- WILKINSONS! :D
Brilliant boxes- they have like a 110l one, it holds about 3 of my 6ft lightweights at once. It has also been paw'd (by Bailey) and not burst :D:D

The vacuum packs are great - they're like big plastic bags that you seal the end of and there's a valve you attach (sp) your vacuum cleaner to and it sucks all the air out - and viola! Huge rugs get squashed down into a manageable size! Makes them much easier to store away :)

Mine have also taken over the loft. Saves on insulation ;)
Shame none of them are a 6'3" mw t/o, cos Jas has torn the arse end out of hers!

Call me a little autistic but I keep the original bags they came in, and store them in those. THey seem to squish down quite well and you can stack them. My husband hangs them in these bags from rafters he has built in the garage, because the garage floods in heavy rain. And because they crawl all over the place if they are not hung up.

And I have lots of plastic boxes in the garage from Yorkshire Trading Company, with smaller rugs and lots of bits of tack in.

I am not allowed to put rugs in the attic although they would help with insulation. Because husband says they smell too bad.

Get some of those jml (other brands available! Lol) vacuum storage bags, makes them half the size, keeps them clean and stops horsey niffs from drifting out of your attick :-) x
