I know this should be in vets, but wanted quick response if anyone can help!

Have a friend who is besides herself with worry. Her 14 y.o. has just been diagnosed with ataxia which Im told is a posh word for arthritis of the neck joints and wobbliness. Symptoms started about 2 months ago. Has anyone any experience of this. Would acupuncture help?

I would really like to help this lady. Any info good or bad please.

Have just spoken to our very own HHO vet who has given me some info.
 
Ataxia is to do with the nervous system as far as I am aware, ataxia is a posh word for incoordination due to interference with the passage of nervous impulses. It really depends on the cause, it can be caused by damage, viral infections, bacteria toxins (i've experienced this and its not nice) haemorrhage or trauma.
There is also hereditary Ataxia and wobbler syndrome.
