Help me with a name for these socks please...

What are the tight lycra type socks called that you put over breeches to keep them firmly in place with long boots??

Thanks, tis a good idea, but the ones I have are really thick and really tight.. specially for riding boots...... want to get someone a pair for Xmas and just can't find them!! X

Thanks am googling... they look like pop socks but with a non ladder material, tight and stretchy and black like pop socks lol... but more like spandex?? Someone will know what I mean! X

Have you tried these I think they are just as good as Kingsland ones and cheaper, the foot never moves!!No more wrinkled socks in boots!Plus seem to last forever

do they grip nice and tight around the calf? X

They do comp socks which are fab under boots,thinner and yes they grip round calves etc and the elasticity seems to stay no matter how times you wash them.They also have thicker yard socks that you can fold over boots etc with the same type of foot but still they don't disappear into your boot when taking your boots off!!
