My stallion has sweet itch and its realy bad there no fur there just drie skin i tried putting a rug on him 2 stop but he threw it straight off. What soulutions do you suggest to use???

Carr and Day and Martin's Killitch is working brilliantly on my sweet-itchy mare, as long as i remember to apply it regularly. she's had one tiny scratch of her mane, and hasn't rubbed her tail at all this year, yet...

wash is affect areas with tea tree sampoo then apply nettex stop itch salve it is fantastic you only need to apply it 3 times a week coz it is water proof!

Benzyl benzoate is very soothing (kills lice as well). Killitch in fact contains benzyl benzoate and is easier to get hold of in quantities. Chemists usually only have a small stock and only want to sell 100ml (-they also think you have an anti-social disease). Killitch comes in 500ml or 1l containers.

sweet itch hereditory please explain !!!!!
not saying your wrong but ive hadn't heard that one. very Interesting.
surely as its just an allergy to the midge saliva it would'nt nessesary be hereditory.

i'm just thinking along the lines of you might not be allergic to something because your parents are ?

defo boet or that type of rug with electric fencing !!

MY mare had really bad sweetitch from the mane to tail i thought i never get to the end of it but using hibiscrub for a bath and putting di itch on work a treat and would never look back

Benzyl benzoate is fantastic

and a quarter of the price of killitch. We apply it daily to our pony that really suffers badly with sweetich and never a bite in sight. Our chemist orders 500ml bottles from the main supplier.
Hope you get on ok.......
