HELP!MY HORSE WONT LISTEN!

recently i have bought a 6yo welsh cob section d mare. she was at a riding school for a couple of weeks as her last owner had a bad injury because of a different fall off his other horse,anyway we have a problem with her riding!
shes superb to tack up and stands still whilst tightening the girth and things but as i go to mount she turns to bite me or moves backwards! also when we ride the slightest squeeze can make her buck or rear..i am losing my confidence a little bit and i want to know why she is doing this and how i can stop it :confused:.

^^^ this. It sounds like your mare may be in pain. If yoiu have had all the checks done then i would suggest getting a vet out to scope her for ulcers if she doesnt like being mounted or any pressure from your legs.

You have it backwards, it is YOU who is not listening to your horse when she is very clearly telling you (in the only way she knows) that something is wrong!
It is our job to try and understand what they are saying, I would get a vet to come and do a full mot and find out what the problem is, is the vet gives a clean bill of health then try a bodyworker e.g chiro, oesteo etc etc to see if its something the vet wouldn't necessarily be looking for.
 
I know this can be scary having a horse turn like this, but she will be doing this for a reason, I would have her teeth and back checked and also have a saddler ensure the saddle is right for you and her, because although you might find that saddle comfy she might not be, when the rider mounts the horse they are saddling weight and pressure to the saddle and if this is not distributed correctly it can cause pressure points that can be very painful and result in tight muslces and a sore back, so have all if them checked :) hope it works out for you, let us know how you get on :D
 
ive had all that done we had the saddle fitted and the vet has been out last week..we dont know whats up shes forward going and we need to tell her that whenever we take her into the field its not for her to gallop with us..any tips how to calm her down.

Your original question was about biting and bucking.

If your vet is happy she's hale and hearty and the saddle is fitted to her - could she just be a little bit of a nappy madam, needing a somewhat more confident and stronger rider?
 
In which case you need some professional help, get an instructor or trainer to help and advise. Personally If i my horse was trying to bite or running backwards when mounting and I could hand on heart say i'd checked out every physical possibility of pain then I would probably conclude that there are some serious holes in the foundations of the horses training and only by going back to the basics and sorting these problems out will you make progress.

Your horse is trying to tell you something with her behaviour, if you're 100% certain its not pain then perhaps she doesn't quite understand what's required of her, maybe she has had some bad experiences and is emotionally uncomfortable with the process - in either of these cases its your job as her owner to help her to understand.
