One of our elderly (17yrs) terriers is super super stinky and I would love any tips on what products you use to reduce their overall whiff.
He sees the vets regularly, has his teeth checked (sometimes removed) and has a mint & oatmeal bath every 2 weeks. But, still, he smells. Diet wise he is on RC Aged small dog, which works well, and Youmove supplement. He is also on Loxicom.

Hi, sorry thought I’d mentioned, regularly seen by vet, no skin or ear conditions. Mainly just his old man breath. Teeth / mouth checked regularly. We have 3 terriers, know and work with the vets regularly. Thank you though. This was purely a recommendation request for any ideas or thoughts .

Hi, I use an emmipet toothbrush which is about breaking down bacteria in the mouth as well as stopping and getting rid of scale. It cost £200 but cheaper than one trip to vets for a teeth clean. Mind you some dog groomers offer it. There is a Facebook page for it. If you joined you could put a post asking if anyone offers it near you, although I found someone local by googling. Also, how often do you wash his bedding? I wash Teddy’s every week, if I leave it two weeks he gets a bit wiffy, I know his mouth the issue but that may help a bit?

Our 12 yr old terrier smells really bad, teeth and glands all ok. He is on dry food so my next thing is to try him on wet food.

Hexarinse or other chlorhexidine mouthwash if its a mouth small. Apply to a makeup wipe and apply to the teeth.

Assuming other health conditions have been ruled out-kidneys issues skin ears etc all cause smell issues.
