Sadly there are hundreds of green TBs out there, although yours does look nice.

£1,500? Sorry if that is less than you paid, but they need to be doing something for the money to be much better than that.
 
It depends what he's temperament is like, is he willing, patient, keen learner? Is he good to handle? What has he been taught? How are his paces? What potential does he have, be brutally honest with this one, you may think he'd be a great eventer or whatever, but unless he truly does have the potential, you'll only waste your time and others when they view him.

Personally, i'd say that with a nicely built young horse with potential, at the right time of year, you could get £2000-£2500...a green horse with decent paces but no real training, i'd say £1500-£1800 at best. A young green TB with average to undesirable conformation, minimal training and less than ideal temperament, less than £1000.
 
He is lovely. TBH although I wouldnt pay 2k for a green youngster I would have thought you would find someone who would as he's nice looking. I suppose it depends on the time of year.
 
id say 1k-1.5k max

my friend bought her horse, a tb/standardbred mix with a decent set of tack, he was green and only just 4 yrs old, he was 15.1 and very skinny (rescued) and she payed 1k for him.

he is know one of my loan horses, he does everything, he can be strong to handle but on very odd occasions, he is ace at XC & SJ, he can jump 3ft but as he is still only 4 we arent going to see how high he can jump just yet.

so 1k-1.5k for a green tb is about all i think you will get, i wouldnt pay 2k for one.
