Firstly thank you to all who commented on previous post about a filly over in Ireland but the biggest thanks to Cortez who gave up her time for me as a stranger to pop and view her for me, don't think I'd have taken the risk without her favour! :)

She arrived today and I'm already smitten but need help with a stable name! Had thought of having an Irish one but can't find any I like :o Already has a registered name (Tanzanite) but doesn't need to come from or link to that as not sure you'd get a very pretty one out of it :o

How about Tansy? It does link and is pretty.

Ebony as she is black? Or Bonnie? She has a very pretty face.

Look up Irish girl names maybe and find one you like maybe? Things like Anya meaning radiance and brilliance or Aoife which means beautiful or joyful. If not Irish name, Tansy's nice or Bonnie, love that name for a horse don't know why! She's very beautiful, lucky you:)

I would have suggested an Irish name too, only problem is outside of our wee block of land, they can cause a lot of confusion!

Current short-list is:
Tansy
Brooke
Pippa
Cleo
Polly
Robin
Quinn

Have been calling her random names all morning trying to find one that suits!

I'm liking Tanzy too, and "tanz" means dance in German..............or indeed Tara, the High King of Ireland's fort in Co. Meath, where she came from.

She's had a new name each day so far, I'm hopeless at deciding, love the name Tansy but find it a bit of a mouthful when I say it:o might end up with the nickname Houdini after today's antics, she decided she'd had enough of being out on her own and jumped the fence! (picked up a runny nose travelling so decided to keep her away from others while it cleared up, but she could see them over the hedge)
