Help - need fancy dress ideas!

Gillie has his Christmas party next week and I need to come up with fancy dress for us. I am thinking of a Christmas tree for him with a green doggie T shirt with baubles sown on to it. I don't think he will keep anything on his head for a second!

Any other suggestions for simple doggie fancy dress gratefully received!

The simplest I've seen is a "hot dog" . Two long pieces of foam covered in beige or brown fabric ( to represent the bun , held by straps round the belly and a chest strap ) and dog in the middle ! Not very christmassy but very easy .
