:( Hi can any1 help...I have to give my young gelding danilon and norodine twice aday this has been going on for quite awhile but now its becoming a battle..first tried it in his food with carrot, apple, molasses worked a couple of times, now have to syring it down him which is becoming a fight, his starting to play up putting headcollar on as he knows what coming, i cant blame him. so any1 got any idea to make this easier and alittle nicer .

Clicker training - if they can train a chimp to put his arm through the cage bars for an injection on a regular basis you shouldn't have a problem :)
Can you do him a small uber tasty feed for a carrier prior to him getting his main meal? Danilon isn't normally a problem, is it the norodine that tastes nasty? I did do wormer snadwiches for one horse but he still wouldn't accept the bitter ones, does your vet have an alternative you could use?

I had to do the same earlier this year when my girl had an allergic reaction after her annual vaccine. Luckily she ate in her food.

You could try mixing with a bit of apple juice :)

Carton of cheap Apple juice to slosh over his feed, worked on a fussy tb stabled with me, might be worth a try if you don't mind the sugar!

Its only others advice but its not used much

When I grumbled to my vet that the above didn't work, he gave me a quizzical look and suggested, "Hunger?" (But then they are Highlands!).

I am not saying starvation, but hunger is definitely a great help and can also be a useful training aid on occasion!

I've one here who goes up at the mere sight of a worming syringe. I usually put the wormer in her feed, but the new girl who helps me brought it from behind her back and fired it into the horse's mouth faster than I could wink! So that works too! The mare still has a bewildered look on her face as she is old and cunning and must be wondering how it happened!
