I need ideas for groundwork to do with my stubborn horse. I am trying to work with her more on the ground leading up to boxing her....which she has recently turned against when I bought my own trailer (typical)

I have never really done groundwork before, bar a bit of lungeing/long-reining. So far I have been getting her to follow me, on and off lead rope, trotting, when I jog, etc, turning when I turn.

To start preparing for the box, I have made a narrow obstacle in the arena, and leading her threw it, then varied it by putting a pole for her to step over as well as narrow space, and putting tarpaulin down for her to walk over, and getting someone to hold a pole for her to walk under....which she was resistant about, and initially refused....so I am thinking its the going under the lowish roof of the trailer that she may not like (previous trailer she boxed in was much higher).

So please, more ideas on groundwork in general and any ideas for prepping towards trailer practise!!

Thanks in advance!

There are a lot of groundwork DVD's etc available, but my suggestion would be to find an instructor /NH /trainer, that will work with you to teach you what you need to know. My horse was difficult to float load (claustrophobic, panicked in the float, threw himself down on the floor), I had some groundwork lessons and trailer loading lessons, and not only did we resolve his issues, I am confident with trailer loading, and have taught all our succesive ponies to load. They load themselves.
