My pup is currently 6 weeks so i get to pick her up in two weeks so excited! However i need help naming her, my other ess is called scamp and it also turns out is her half brother (they have the same dads) which was completely un planned but i cant wait! anyway here are some pics :)
P.s i quite like maddie or eva as a name thoughts?
All names welcome and will be considered :)

I can save you the dilemma, just send her to me!! Cute as a button! I do sort sharp names, one syllable cos it's easier for recall training. Mine are Brig, Bear, Zak.

Haha no way im already so attached! Love those names but shes a girl haha i was quite surprised with myself as im normally a fan of boy animals as love their characters but she just ccaught my eye so hopefully will be a match made in heaven :)

Spaniels, regardless of persuasion need short and if we can manage it, single syllable names.

Someone mentioned 'Wren' and I'm currently on my third one!

I also noticed that your intended pup has a docked tail. Perfect!!

Alec.

I was once advised that a female pup should be named after a female human one doesn't particularly like.

Then, when you are out and the human female is within ear shot, you can shout, "Come HERE, Lucy (or whatever), you BITCH!!!"

I've never tried it, though I have been tempted, but then I am a coward. Hope I am not giving Alec any ideas….

haha thanks for the suggestions so far my favorite names are flick, eva, wren and fern :)
Also thanks Alec i am a fan of a docked tail. Im hopefully going to work her when shes a bit older the way it should be with a spaniel.

Liking Wren.

It's so refreshing to see zero shock and horror at the dog being docked on here. Another forum I'm on would have exploded with self righteous disgust by now! When (not if!) I get more springers, I'll be looking for docked and dew clawed pups.

my cocker spaniel is docked and dew-clawed... (hes 2)... i dont have an issue with it as long as its done properly

unforunately his was not and we had to have it re-done when he was 6 months old as it was half on (claw)!....

his tail is also weirdly long compared to what id normally thing for a docked dog - glad about that bit though as he has a lovely wiggle :D

Big dog is working docked

Show springers have a very short stubby tail.

My youngsters aren't docked and it's a trauma!

My springer is called Bramble, love Fen or Tizzy. I work at a vets and hadn't come across a Wren before have heard of Kite Tawny Kes and Chase. Like other animal's names too like Otter or Mouse. She is beautiful.

I choose pet names with 2 syllables and a hard consonant or two. Good to yell. My GSDs have German names that stick the rule. As she's a springer how about a 'spring' name like Verdi?
