I have been given an old hunting crop but I can't find out anything about it and wondered if any of you had some ideas?
It has the traditional horn handle but the silver collar is patterned and around the top of the collar I think it says Cooke and sons London. There is also a silver mark on the collar. On the silver pin above the collar are some letters which could say Hammond?
I have tried doing a search on Google and although I found some sites selling antique crops none looked quite like this one.
The lady who originally owned it was Australian but as I can read 'London' on the collar I am assuming she bought it here rather than in Australia.
I think it is probably 1940s.
Any one got any ideas?
Thanks, Jo
