Help needed please!

Ok so i sent my CV off to a local equine hospital who are looking for a trainee equine nurse. I no the hours/pay arent great ect. I have always wanted to work with horses, and currently work as general office dogs body!

They have just left a message on my mobile, asking me to ring back. (couldnt answer as in work) But what might they ask me when i ring back, dont want to be struggling for answers ect, and looking stupid! lol!
I guess they will ask me why i want to do the job, so can someone give me something to say? ov i want to do job as love horses, think it will be rewarding , and interesting, as i am a hands on person.

Anything else? Stressing now, and havent even got a interview yet!

Just tell them the truth. It might help if you do a bit of research into what the job might involve, the company its-self, anything you've done previously which may be useful in the position. I'm sure it will be fine though. Relax and be yourself - oh, and don't keep them waiting too long!

Think of how to sound like you have a intellectual interest in the job - eg you feel you need a challenging and constantly evolving job, one where you will constantly be learning and gaining new experiences. Best not to come across as someone who Loves Pretty Ponies [Gush]! Explain why you think being part of a veterinary team would be brilliant as you are both a team player and able to think for yourself under pressure. That you are always calm and cooperative....

just a few ideas. Basically be calm and coherant! GOOD LUCK!
 
I've been an equine nurse myself. Just appear keen, willing to learn nursing skills & as if you will enjoy having chance to learn more about the medical side of horses. Be yourself and you will be fine!

I don't imagine they will want to ask you this yet - it's probably to arrange a time for you to come in!!

If they do ask you why you want the job, back up the "I love horses" comment with something along the lines of "I am capable and caring and can deal with all sorts of issues that may arise. I am confident with large animals and have a calming personality which is soothing to horses that are scared or in pain. I am also quiet and dilligent and will be a great support staff for the vets. I see this as being an opportunity to take on difficult and challenging role, but one that will be rewarding to me"

i have afavorite line i always use... ah hem...

I have a real thirst for knowledge and am always keen or looking to broaden my horizons and further my ambitions! i dunno if it works but het sounds good! lol stress the idea that your willing to earn qualifications etc (provided you are) and the fact that you have a passion for horses and other living things and have always desired to help them.
