Help needed re planning for livery yard

Does anyone know if when you apply for planning for a small livery yard if it makes any difference if it has already been running for nearly 10 years.

talk to a planning consultant it might be worth exploring applying for a certificate of lawful use rather than a planning permission.

Phone up the local council and ask to speak to planning officer, if you want to keep your head below the parapet, ie are you saying it has been running without planning for years, .. err well why rock the boat at this stage?

Don't know, depends on the council, that's why my advice is speak to a planning consultant, NOT a planning officer (why would you want to grass yourself up?)
