I have a 6 year old, 17.2hh sport horse. We've had a really rough time with him, he's constantly been lame since last October with rain scald and mud fever. Just when he was picking up he went down hill and he's lost all the weight he's put on Can anyone give me any advice on what feeds to give him that will fatten him up and make him healthy?

Feed Micronised Linseed, good for skin and weight gain.
I gave our 16 2 WB skinny rescue mare 2 scoops per day
had to stop feeding it as the good grass as well, has made her
ballon up, so she's now on a diet.

I use Equiflax (Equiform Nutrition) which you can either feed dry as a supplement, or soaked - when it turns into a jelly which looks exactly like proper oldfashioned linseed jelly. My chap loves it, and looks fantastic on it. He's having very little hard feed, and is out 24/7 on well grazed land - but hasn't dropped any weight. Added bonus is that he isn't completely barking mad on it - which is the case if he has lots of hard feed!
