Layla is currently languishing in the field as CCj is working as an event groom.
She has recovered from her injury to her knees (she slid on some loose gravel on a newly tarmaced road and bashed both knees) and I have vet X rays to prove nothing wrong other than two small blemishes.
I've had a local girl hack her out the last few weeks with no problems at all.
She's bold X Country, done some Sj clear rounds up to 3' and placed both her dressage tests so far. It's really trainable as well as being the nicest horse we've ever encountered. (loves people and just tries to please when ridden).
I'm totally confused re price.
Bear in mind this is Devon and a long way for some to come to view, but she is exactly as described and we paid quite a lot for her as a four year old.
What do you think I should ask? (i will try not to be insulted

I could see you getting around 5K
If she is as nice as she sounds it will just be finding the right person who isn't bothered by the knees

I really do think it would be worth your while getting a few BD points on her card

I think you are about right - she looks a truly lovely stamp and is clearly a jack of all trades type who would be at home at the top end of RC and who would also hold her own at the lower levels of affiliated competitions as well if someone wanted to progress.

Straight sensible horses command good money and rightly so!

She looks exactly what I wanted when I was looking for Diva and we would have happily paid extra for the safety factor.

(She's the right colour as all of ours are bay but somehow I think OH mught notice a new addition

Thanks to the three who replied! Shame the other 57 viewers didn't dare venture an opinion...

I've just advertised her at £5500. She is one of those horses who is naturally sane and I don't reckon there are that many of them about.
I just want a nice home as she is costing me £70 for shoes every six weeks and is not doing anything. CCj just hasn't time to ride her at all.
The annoying thing is had she remained unblemished she would have been worth an awful lot more as the dressage trainer raved about her.
ps Worried, I'm sure he wouldn't notice her, or if he did, once he discovered how trainable she is he would agree you could give her to him.....

Good luck selling her- where do you get most response from when you advertise? I sold a couple in Cornwall and it was just not worth bothering with national publications!!

Sorry not many have replied! I personally would not worry at all about the blemishes on knees, and being that you have xrays to prove no lasting damage. If she is as quiet and trainable I would think 6 to 6.5k?

I've tried her on horsemart, then if that doesn't work will try various other routes.
I think the first person to try her will buy her as she is a full up 16.2 hh and feels to have a good front, and big horses like her aren't often sane in my experience.
I have used WMN before but they are so expensive, as is H and H. I think it has the highest number of potential buyers but when you can use horsemart for £32 it's stupid not to try that first.

My husband threatened to give her away earlier today if we didn't advertise her, we still have another of CCJ's competition mares ready to sell, her ad has run out I think so last week I put her on the PC site, but no calls as yet.
You would think somewhere there is somebody who can ride a fizzy 15.2 hh type horse who has a brilliant XC record and is cheap at £3500...
The last people to try her jumped her round a 4' 6" course and then asked to have her on trial... so all I need to do is find the right home. Or ask double the price then she might sell!

Trying to sell my mare on pony club website at the mo for £4750 good in all way and safe not had a phone call at all been on there nearly a month wandering where it would be best to sell her.
was thinking wmn but got same opinion is so expensive!!
Is horse mart a better option?

I saw your ad on Horsemart and I would change the wording a bit. It doesn't really say that she has done anything. You've described her better in your OP above. I would mention that she has done XC, dressage comps and show jumping.

Just a suggestion.
