im not a total dunce well most of the time lol . i would just like to train her the correct way.

She's gona be fairly big then! our 2 yr old shirexwelsh is 15hh at the mo! My only advice would to be not to rush anything, show her as much scary stuff as you can, whilst she's still young (and not too big!).
Books are a great help, most of them go into great detail when it comes to doing things and how to do them properly without scaring them! Good old Fashioned Common Sense also goes along way with a baby! There's a book by Richard Maxwell that tells you about the different stages of growth, from baby to breaking age, including defiant stages ie teenage(2yr) worries etc.(hooray for Amazon!) Good luck, if you put the time and effort in, the rewards will be tremendous! if you want a partnership from her then treat her as you would a child or part of the family, not like a machine that you can USE as and when you want. (especially with a mare!) I find this works very well with our two! Maybe thats just me, but i have a VERY good relationship with my mare because of it! and the baby has to be seen to be believed! if you want anymore advice PM me! And lastly Good Luck!
