Ok so Benji my Lab will be 3 in November. I got him when he was 9 months old and he was still entire. After a lot of research I decided to keep him entire ( please this isn't a debate about this)
Until now he has been really well behaved. He will ocassionaly go off his food for a couple of days if there is a bitch in season near by but thats all. He doesn't run off is well trained and very well behaved off the lead.
Earlier this week a friend asked if I would like to go for a walk she was dog sitting so though it would be nice, the other dog was a castrated springer spaniel and Benji really took a liking to him.
Firstly they played nicely but then Benji started mounting him, he spent the whole 2 hour walk humping the poor other dog and with out soundin really rude he didn't seem to just be pretending either!!!
.
I was mortified although my friend found it quite funny. I kept calling him off but he would just ignore me I had to keep chasing him away.
I don't know what to do now as I don't want this to become habit and find I have a problem walking him out off the lead and I don't want to keep him on the lead all the time.
Id this normal and how do I stop it. HELP!!!!
