help needed

Yeah they sound similar, however my mare doesn't get aggressive, she will just run blind away from you. And yes she has plastered me against the stable wall many times trying to worm her before using a blindfold!

Maybe try a bucket of feed and blindfold and depending on him make the jab from beginning to end quick or very slow. Talk to him constantly and make sure no one is near his back legs and who ever is holding him has a very tight grip on his leadrope/headcollar or even better a bridle :)

My mare had a jab in her bottom whilst she was in the horse trailer a few years ago and she stood like an angel, other than a jump of shock when it went in lol

i think the bridle is something i definately need to do but the tighter he`s held the more he panics
He`s not normally aggressive i think it just came to the fact he was in his stable which he`s only just really getting use to and he knew there was no-where for him to go xx

Just make sure he can't reach the vet if he tries to bite him lol!!!

Some horses do feel trapped when in a stable with no where to go. I've seen one before try to literally climb over the stable door as he became very scared. Don't over crowd him either, just you (handler) and the vet :) keep calm and don't show you're nervous!!! I usually use a light jumper to blindfold as it's big enough to block out everything. Maybe also try practicing the blindfold and bucket of food a good handful of times before vet returns? Also in practice you could get a friend to brush/stroke/fiddle with his neck to get him used to something going on there while he can't see it :D

Hope that's of some help!
