Please help me decide which one to get.

I also need help to choose between cair v flock if I go for the wintec. Looking for the least amount of saddler visits!

Wintecs fit her but I havent tried the thorowgoods before.

Not really going to be doing much showing so not bothered about the look - just the comfort for me and horse really. She changes shape so often I have given up with my leather saddle and have been using a wintec since sept so need an adjustable one!

Thorowgood all the way. They are lovely saddles and they last.

If you go for the Wintec then I would go for flocked as I have seen a horse retired from the fact that the cair was not working correctly and the fill tubes turned down into his spine and will not use it now.

Having had both a Wintec & a Thorowgood I would rate the Thorowgood everytime!

I found the Wintec extremely uncomfortable, but I have 2 Thorowgoods now, a T4 GP and a T6 Dressage. They are very comfy, good value for money and fit well - don't think you can ask anymore. I, like you, need an adustable saddle while he is still filling out and growing !

I totally agree with Nailed, thorogood all the way i have found them to be the best/most comfortable and i have ridden in a few saddles. Theres just something about wintec which puts me off them.

yea agree with all above had both but much prefer thorowgood got one on my cob and my conne x. my saddle fitter told me the wintec cairs are no good as the cair only works in warm temperatures! not sure how much truth thier is in that but she had no reason to lie to me x

thorowgood but only because I find wintec spoon shaped and they dont fit the non english bred horses. However I havent tried the new one.

I did find the thorowgood dressage saddle was small though, as a previous poster said, I felt perched

I've ordered a thorowgood. Had a wintec and loathed it with my old horse.

Had saddler out and she fits a kent and masters well, which is a leather thorowgood basically. If you want a leather, that has a changing gullet.

But I agree, hopefully throwogood will be best!!

Thorowgoods are well designed and made saddles but do have drawbacks - the narrow panels at the back (compared to wintecs) and they can feel perched. BUT I've not seen the new wintecs, as I doubt many people here have. The older 500/2000 were rubbish but they may have sorted out the problems now.

You would really need to see both on the horse, as one will suit better.
