Help - not sure what to do...

following on from broken horse post...

vet doesnt think that horse will be broken long, should be ok again within the next week.

However, annoying bit is supposed to being going xc next week (if horse is sound he will be ok to do it), and a competition week after. I can get away with cancelling entries for next weekend by tommorow. I am not sure what the best options is - cancel whole lot? cancel one class so if he is sound i can still go, but if he isnt will loose entry fee? ring vet and see what he thinks?

could you cancel later? even if hes sound by next week will he really be up for xc so soon after coming back into work? i would take it easy or check with vet as you want him to get better, not find hes broken again straight after xc!

What sort of injury is it and how long has the horse been off?

Been off for a week, vet knows about comp, didnt have any problems with him going if horse is ok
