I'm guessing this comes under competition? Anyway, I really want to start up mounted games, but I don't know the first thing about starting up. How do I? I'm 14 too, am I too old to start it? Any help is welcome. Thankyou

Definitely go straight to MGA. It's a great organisation, some fantastic people are involved. Your local team will help you get started, or point you in the right direction.
Contact MGA and they will put you in touch with your area rep. :)

Certainly not too old at 14, look at the MGA website through the link above and contact your local country rep.
If you are new then you may find it best to join on of the more novice or fun teams but there are teams at all levels. As you are 14 you'll have plenty of time in juniors as the age for that section goes up to under 17s, and there's no upper limit for open rider.

Not too old at 14. Not too old at ........ well, doesn't matter.

The West Midlands Region do Adult Mounted Games, which is Prince Phillip Cup games suitably modified for the elderly. The horses love it, although having a big horse is no advantage. Great fun.

I've seen international MGA at the Royal Welsh and it is really exciting, the crowds love it.

Thankyou, loads of advice and helped a load! I've never tried vaulting on a horse before, should I learn on a experienced pony thats done mounted games or would I best to practice on a calmer pony?

Hi there, I have sent you a PM which will hopefully help. I was one of the riders that was lucky enough to compete at the Royal Welsh International this year. Amazing experiance!

Never mind the mounted games - take up tentpegging instead!

We are in need of keen Juniors as we need to beat South Africa!!

Its like mounted games, but with live weapons and you can do it on any horse. We have someone in Norfolk too!!

Jen is there anywhere in Northern ireland that does tentpegging do you no, or best person to contact, I would love to give it a go!

Hi are there any training events in Norfolk ? I am really keen to have a go and pursue tentpegging. Thanks.
