Help on socialising 4 year old...

I have recently bought a lovely 4 year old gelding tb x cob, well broken super start in life, but was only used to siblings at home, I've only some donkeys at home, and have just taken him to a couple of lessons, he's never been to any competitions, any tips on getting him used to other horses, at the moment his eyes are out on stalks if he sees anything horselike!! your suggestions welcome!!

They're on stalks because he's having new experiences - so the more you do in a calm and sensible manner, the more used to outings he'll get.

Just keep taking him on more outings, will do him the world of good, also remember there are plenty of indoor shows/events so you have no excuse...should the bad weather one come up!
