my horse will be stabled most of the time this winter as he is coming to uni with me, he is currently fed half scoop spillers topline condition, 1 1/2 scoopalfa A, 1 scoop spillers energy mix, soya oil, cod liver oil and carrots (hes out 24/7) at the mo, not sure if i should be changing/adding to his feed when hes stabled - altho will cut the energy mix rite down. hes a 13 year old ID / TB and is 16:3h and in medium work, thanks guys

If you take the energy mix out (like you said), I think the rest would be ok. Depends if he loses weight over the winter to need the spillers conditioning? If not, then Id take that out too and feed a purely fibre diet (alfa A). But if you feed a cube then I would buy one of those toy snack ball things and put them in that so he will be amused for a while. Id definately try to stretch out feeding coz he's gonna get bored...! And obviously a big fat haynet at all times.

he doesnt keep weight well and the topline condition helps - have beeen feeding him the energy mix this summer as hes sooo laid back i find it sharpens him up but think been stabled he wont need that, but he will be worked medium/hard over the winter
