... a good advert???

Uggh, have to find a new home for our pony, and would appreciate advice on how to do it and what is the best asking price:

‘Gorgeous liver chestnut mare, 11 years old, height 147.8 cm.

Excels showjumping, with consistent placings from 95 cms to 1 metre 10 in both BSJA (in the UK) and FLSE (Luxembourg), although competed only lightly in last season due to rider's educational commitments. Placed Easibed/Scope national championships in UK in 2004, competed on all pony club teams (SJ, dressage and eventing) in UK, and has played horse ball.

Good to box/shoe/clip and in traffic, and rides happily alone or with other horses in the forest.

Same home four and a half years, therefore for sale/long-term loan to loving and knowledgeable home only. Price negotiable, around £5,000.’

Please be harsh, and constructive. Best possible home is the top priority, but much harder because we are overseas.

Where is she now in england or luxemburg?

Shame when your kids outgrow their ponies

I'd put how much money she has BSJA and maybe the classes rather then height? Also, miss out the bracketed part for the PC teams bit.

Other than that sounds great and a reasonable price.

Wherever best for her really.

Luxembourg has a more limited scene (few specialised pony classes, although she is fast and competes very well with horse over tracks up to 1 metre 10, but also no earnings restricted classes so is often out against professional riders).

Hanker after back to UK in some ways, because so many more opportunities for ponies at this level, but realistically know it would be hard for someone to try her out here ...

Some parents just buy a big horse in the first place. Got to tell you a few months ago I was watching some show jumping event and this tiny wee boy rolled in on what must have been a good 15.3h beast & yet he did a clear round with ease, absolutely no bother...I laughed & laughed I thought it was great. Sometimes it is better to fit the horse to the rider than the rider to the horse?...bit random but tough

It's a great shame as I want a pc/competition schoolmaster for my 11 yo son......... think you're too far away tho.
