Hi, I wouldn't normally do this but I don't really know where else to ask. I can't say too much on an open forum but I know of a young staff who is in desperate need of rehoming/ going to a rescue centre. The owner of the dog is willing to give him up, he will lose his home if he doesn't.

Dog is friendly but not walked. Good with cats. Doubtful he has had any socialisation. Approx 12 months old, entire.

Hertfordshire area. I would take him myself as a temporary measure but I have an elderly gsd who would probably not appreciate a young staff bouncing around him.

Have tried battersea, rspca and local rescue centres, no joy. If anyone has advice/ can help please pm me.

Many thanks

Kirstie

Thanks for the replies, will do pm's in the morning. Local staff rescues have been tried or so I'm told but will get a proper list tomorrow of what has been done. Poor dog is not in a good situation.

Thanks for the replies. So far the following have been tried; Albery dog rescue, RSPCA southridge, Ararescue, Luna animal rescue, leavalley dog rescue, staffy lover rescue, happy staffy rescue, Battersea, mutts in distress, woodgreen blue cross, animal rescue charity and animal welfare trust.

I looked at Glendee but they only seen to take dogs on death row from the pound... happy to be corrected though.

I will look at k9 partners and RATS, thank you.

There is Heathlands in Royston too but don't think they'll take on difficult to home bull breeds, they seem to prefer rescueing dogs from Ireland. My rescue staffy came from Battersea. Have a look for Chiltern dog rescue too.

Has it been advertised anywhere?

Thanks for the suggestions, I will look into them.

No, dog not advertised. I can't say too much but the owner is terrified dog will end up being PTS or bought as a fight/bait dog. He has only agreed that the dog can go to a reputable rescue.
