I am looking for a really good vet to do a "vetting" for me - potential (and valuable!) purchase too far for my own vet to travel. Having had a bad experience with vetting by an unknown vet when buying once before, I would like to find a very "fussy" and "on the ball" vet by recommendation!

I'd highly recommend Peter Scholefield of Hird & Partners in Halifax - he's really good

Peter at Hirds is an excellent vet, top class. Hes looking after my mare at the moment and will be on friday when she goes to Shelf Horsepital for her re-scan. Highly recommend him!!!

I didn't buy the horse I was going to get vetted, I did speak to someone at Minister, they were very helpful and talked me through what they would do. They sounded very clued up and horsey

I would also highly recommend Peter Scholefield of Hird & Partners in Halifax.
You may need to arrange to take the horse there though.
My mum had a horse that was diagnosed with soft tissue damage via MRI by him (alot of the horse vets use him for referrals including our own)
He also vetted her next horse... and I know a number of Dressage riders who've used him for vettings and diagnosis.
He is definitely worth the wait.....
