Just found out today my mare is in foal (only had her for 3 months didn't know she was in foal when we bought her) vet thinks she wont go any longer than 2 weeks. Know nothing about foaling (only what vet has explained today). Would appreciate absolutely any info. Thanks.

What a surprise for you!
Best thing I can suggest is reading through this breeding forum; there's loads of advice here, also read as much as you can too. From Foal To Full Grown is very good and you can find others on ebay or amazon.
Good luck and shout if you need help, someone on here will know.

your in the same boat as us! my daughters lr pony is in foal (we had no idea when we got her) she is dripping colostrum so hopefully tonight!

In the same situation as me........... Found out poor driving pony (Welsh Sec C) whom we'd had a strict diet is in fact in foal!! Had suspected from a couple of weeks ago and finally got the vet to check yesterday. In her words after having a feel 'Yep, there's definitely a well cooked active foal in there, just waiting to come out!!' We've no idea when said foal will arrive, only slight bagging up at the moment.
I had an Andalusian Stallion for the summer last year. June was a crazy month for me with hospital stays and work so I had several people helping me with the horses, at some point either Stallion (who was only supposed to be turned out under supervision) or cheeky mare got out, but it was never reported me. Not overly concerned as think should hopefully produce lovely foal - Both parents are very bright intelligent & kind horses with nice elevated paces & have good competition records. Wasn't planned but quite exciting now!
