Just wondering how much my pony is worth… I’m not selling her but need a rough estimate. To me she is priceless however I would like an idea of what people would pay. All opinions are appreciated.

She is a showjumping school master who rarely (if ever) knocks a pole or refuses previously done 100/110 courses but would be stepping down due to age. She hasn’t competed this year but jumped 80/85 at home and is the Perfect starter pony as she’s so honest.
She’s done dressage up to ua elementary with multiple wins this year and recently dabbled in showing at county level.
She’s done all English disciplines and is very willing and talented in all spheres.
Good to do in every way you can think.the type you can mess around on bareback and bridle-less
Been a first and second pony.
Breed unrecorded but good conformation and beautiful markings
13.2hh
No health issues whatsoever fit and healthy (no arthritis ect)
24 years old but rides beautifully and looks 10 as she’s in amazing condition.
Just took herself over some jumps at 90cm left out in the arena when free schooling only a week ago.Thank you for any replies greatly appreciated.

Yes I was going to say easily £10k plus probably more but then saw her age…so not very much I can’t imagine there is much of a market for a 24yr old horse, so considerably less. She sounds a sweetie though x
What is the most you would pay as a figure please? I know her age would lower her value but surely as a pc pony for a young rider she would be worth 4k I’m thinking. What’s the most you would spend?

I'd look on Whickr. There are often older schoolmaster type ponies for sale, aside from her age, the fact she hasn't jumped this year would lower her value I'd think.
Yes and no competition history? If you had some success at pony club areas/reginonals/nationals or some affiliated stuff that will increase value

Would you be able to tell me more about this please? Who would I go to for this? She’s very sadly had to be pts a couple weeks ago which would make it more difficult I’m guessing
I'm so sorry for your loss.

I'm guessing your instructor and vet might be a good place to start and perhaps your farrier.

You don't need a live animal to be able to make an assessment of their valuation.

So sorry that you find youself in this situation but perhaps a bit more background may help those who might advise you.

In the initial post she was free schooling over 90cm fences a week ago, but was sadly pts two weeks ago?

I am genuinely sorry for anyone who loses their horse but when seeking advice for a legal case, clarity is important.

OP if your thread on here is in anyway connected to an upcoming legal case or even a possibility to bring a legal case against anyone I would be very, very careful what you post online at this point in time.

I am very sorry you lost your pony, she did sound lovely.

An update with more information at a later date would be very welcome for those of us who have responded to your questions.

So sorry for your loss, sounds like a super pony who will be difficult to replace. What value was she insured for? I’d say possibly about £1500 without a recent competition record to someone that knew how safe she was. Sadly if not out and about at that age I would be questioning why not and would she stay sound if put back to that level of work/competing.

If she’s as safe and straightforward as you say, I’d go up to 3k

If she had a ‘proper’ competition record (BS, pony club etc) then a bit more
Yep I agree, maximum of 2-3k..some wouldn’t even consider her though with her age.

So sorry for your loss x

Keep her, hold the memories because you will never know where she is going to end up. Keep her.

Forgive my cynicism but why did you write about her in the present tense in your first post?
