Hello, I'm having to part loan my mare out and I'm really not sure how much weight she can comfortably carry.

She is a small 15hh, 7 years old.

I'm 5ft 6" and 8 stone and it is me on her in the photo.

I've got someone enquiring who weighs around 10 stone, will this be okay? I just not sure.

Thank you.

You look lovely on her, so ideally someone around your height/weight.

Some people ride heavier than others, depending on experience, so you need to see them ride her first.

Make sure you have a water tight contract.

Hope you find the right person for her:)

As elderlycoupleindevon said you look nicely in proportion so no harm in stating a max of 8 or 9 stone. You could even add it on to the advert if you have one.

I've found it interesting what ppl wd put me on when looking for a share... turned up to try a 14hh I was worried was too small and owner asked me to try their 13.something too!

It is your horse so you can say exactly what you want, a share won't last unless you're happy too.

I think 10 stone is fine. Just make sure you see her ride first, to make sure your mare is comfortable. PLEASE get a contract signed.

I will write up a contract, its not going to be something where they can go off and do their own thing which I've made clear before anyone comes to try her, its more for someone who wants to learn as I will be there all the time at first. The girl coming is just off the riding school so will be just having lunge lessons at first and will see how it goes. She's coming to have a look tomorrow so I will take it from there.

Thanks.
