We have our little orange horse checked by McTimoney every year and every year they say her saddle is ok but it has always slipped to the right slightly when she is being ridden.
When I ride behind her I can see it is just slightly off centre.
We have tried non slip pads and gel pads even bought a Korrector but nothing seems to help.
I have decided I want to buy her a new fitted saddle but how do I go about finding one that will fit her?
I don't know any good saddle fitters round us, I know someone that purports to be a saddle fitter (sells saddles) but I think I can do it better and I know nowt!!
I am prepared to spend quite a bit. looking at Wow and Bates.
Anyone offer any help/advice/suggestions please?

Most master saddlers will travel - mine comes to me from Badminton to Cardiff.....

So it should be no problem at all to get a professional to fit a saddle for you.

How do I find one then?
Just done a quick search and there is someone in Northumberland and an amerigo one in Cumbria but how do I know they are any good?

I am based in North Yorkshire and I use Lizzy at the Priory Saddlery in Guisborough http://www.priorysaddlery.com/ - she is a master saddler and is brill!

My horse was in real pain from the saddle he came with and was labelled "dangerous" - he is now a superstar!

Lizzy charges £60 for a call-out and it's well worth it. I got a thorowgood with a changeable gullet from her, so when my horse changes shape, which he now has, it's cheap to change to a gullet that fits him without forking out for a new saddle.

I can highly recommend Karen Moxon, can let you have her details if you would like them - very nice lady based near Pocklington, and no pressure selling involved. She doesn't do Wow though
