Help please...skull cap for an egg head.

I managed to take a nasty tumble the other week out on the xc and my hat ( which is about 4 years old and lost its padding ) went over my eyes and slammed into my nose breaking it and leaving me looking like id been beaten up lol.

I have what seems like a weird shape egg head....wide at the back and narrower at the front and most hats I try on dig in front and back but I get fingers up the sides!

I have a champion euro delux skull which fitted well untill the padding went a bit flat although it fitted when I got it.

Can anyone recommend a skull cap that may fit and will be BRC legal next year under the new rules?

Im doing my first 100 at the area BRC FOTH qualifer this sunday and want a hat that wont go over my eyes of hit my already sore nose.

Go somewhere with plenty of options and a good hat fitter. I've got a CO Pro II which is great but I also have a weird head so I have extra tape on the inside at the front to improve the fit as otherwise it tips forward on me - I tried all the brands and for me this one needed the least adjustment but you may find a different brand works better for you.

I think charles owen are good for oval heads - they are terrible on me ad i have a round head - gatehouse work for me

Which ever make you opt for it you go to a professional hat fitter they will be able to adjust the fit with padded tape to be sure it is 100% sound. You'll need to go back in about 3 months to re-fit as well as the padding squashes down. For what its worth - another vote for the CO pro II...

Gatehouse RXC1 fits well on my egg!!
