I have a 6 year old rottie who jumped through my closed car window a few years ago and badly damaged the muscles & tendons in his shoulder area. He was operated on and had part of his damaged tendon and bicep removed but although he has made the best recovery he can he does still limp. There are times when he over exerts himself and the site becomes inflammed and aggravated so he becomes very sore again. Unfortunately he canot tolerate any pain medication or anti inflammatories and believe me our vets have tried everything but he gets a very upset stomach after a few days on ANY drug at all. I have been down the alternative route and tried many many homeopathic remedies, herbal remedies, animal communicators, bowen therapy, reiki.....the list is endless! I am prepared to try ANYTHING to help him (although he won;t accept acupuncture) and I have now seen an advert for Bioflow collars - does anyone have any experience of these and do you think they may help him? Alternatively can anyone suggest anything else for him please. He is on a veterinary joint supplement as an insurance measure in case of future arthritis and his weight is kept down to help his joints.
