hi there,

I'm new to this so i hope this post comes out ok :)

Please can people please tell me what washing liquid they use to wash their sheepskin le mieux numnahs?

i have read that its good to cover them in hair conditioner before washing - does it matter which conditioner? I have bought some Johnsons baby conditioner thinking it will be gentle.....

thanks for any replies

I use woolite or equivalent. The stuff for machine washing woollens. I haven't used conditioner on mine and it has always washed okay.
Remember to put on a wool cycle so it doesn't agitate it too much.

I scrub mine with a dandy brush and human shampoo, then condition with human conditioner all in the shower! spin in the washing machine to get most water out then dry on a maiden.

Comes out lovely :)

I cover the wool part in cheap hair conditioner [own brand from supermarket] and rub it in . Then sometimes spray stain remover if my boots have got boot polish on it. Then pop in washing machine on quick wash always perfect

Please don't use woolite on lambskin or sheepskin pads. It strips the oils from the hide and ruins the pad. The best stuff is a leather or woolskin wash (not for the wool but for the skin). There are a few places that sell it and your pads will last much longer if you use it. Hope this helps. :)

Woolite or deft and I have sheepskin numahs that I have have used for nearly twenty years.
Wash in a wool cycle or I use the thirty degrees normal wash for the faster spin.
