Hi,i need to move my horse to another yard that is like 2 minutes walk away,but she is really bad in traffic..uncontrollable infact and the road is a busy main road.i cannot get a horsebox to move me either.
Could a calmer help just to get her to her new yard?
Thoughts please
 
I agree with the above. Do it very early in the morning, and lead her?
If you're really concerned could you get hold of some sedalin to calm her down a bit?
 
As above if you can pair her up with a steady friend early in the morning, maybe even have someone a family member follow slowly behind in a car just in case you get into any trouble.
 
As the others have said really - get up super early just as the sun is coming up, on a weekend morning and you shouldn't encounter much traffic. Make sure you have her in a bridle instead of a headcollar so you have more control, lead her using a lunge line instead of a standard rope, and make sure you are wearing gloves in case she does pull (avoids nasty ropeburn). Wear a hi-vis jacket, and if you can get any hi-vis on the horse as well (you can get hi-vis brushing boots, tail things etc) that would be even better.

Get a helper (human) to walk with you so someone can wave at the traffic to slow them down etc if needs be, leaving you to focus on the horse. Have a pocket full of treats to keep her attention on you, and keep praising her all the way down the road. If you have a friend with a very safe, un-spooky horse see if they'd come with you and they can lead the way, so your horse has something calm and sensible to follow.

Sedalin may or may not work - has she had it before and if so, how did she react? Mine has had sedalin before when he was turned out after box rest and that did the trick with him, he was a dope. But I've seen other horses that are given huge doses and still doesnt make a difference, and then others who get too sleepy on it hence would impede walking (if you are walking her down a road you want to make sure she is still alert enough to keep going at a steady speed).

You see now that's my other problem..all my tack was stolen last week and I have no bridle...not doing very well am I:(😭😭
 
All good advise, you could also get some one in a car to follow you with their hazard lights on which should slow any traffic down.
Buy a new bridle or borrow one.
 
Try getting a trusted and experienced friend to lead her instead of doing it yourself - she could well feed off your anxiety and be more skittish than she needs to be. Walk along side in an outrider/traffic control role but just being a step or two away could make a lot of difference.

If I'm out of sorts my mare always knows and behaves differently.
