Hi could I have some recommendations on what will help. I have a horse that has very loose droppings when travelling, hunting and competing, he is fine in himself, very settled and very well behaved but he is almost scouring in his droppings, never on a day to day basis just when getting ready, travelling and competing? Someone has suggested Blue Chip. Any other recommendations greatly received. Thankyou x

That would be cos he is excited.

I don't think Blue Chip would make any difference at all. I would say it is due to excitement/anticipation of what is going to be happening.

oh mine always does that - they get more shitty depending on how excited he is. he can just about contain himself for dressage now. anything involving jumping gets a bit splatty and hunting involves pure liquid shite. i've tried all sorts of probiotics etc with no change.

Its natural for there bodies to do this it times of stress or when excited, actually goes back to how they survive in the wild, something to do with getting rid of excess weight if they need to take flight and make a quick get away.

Try Naf Pink Powder. You just put it in with the horses normal feed. Add it to the horses feed about 2-3 days before you go hunting or competing and keep adding in untill the day after. It worked really well for me.

Have you tried Bailey's Digest Plus? You can use it all the time or just when needed. I have a very nervous horse and use it all the time but up and down the dosage depending on the time of year, when competing and travelling etc. It's brill value for money (about £15 for 1 kg) and lasts ages. Give it a try! X
