Help ! pregnancy signs please

Hi i new here so hello to everyone ! wonder if anyone can help in middle of legal nightmare over some abandoned horses on our land - all where very thin, others have all got fatter (ish) (will take them some time ! ) but one mare still very thin but belly getting bigger and belly very low. there a 18month old colt in herd with her - without internal / vet any suggestions how i could tell if in foal and could he cover her at that age ? We may have to try rehome them and i want to know. any help would be great

It's possible that she could have been covered by the colt.

Do you have a picture you could post of her so that some of us could have a look? The only accurate way of knowing really is via the Vet.

hi yes she can be handled and i know she has had other foals. i know really we need vet and will def get her checked out before she goes but just thought may have been some other signs i wasnt aware of. One thing i did notice was when i look at her from back i can see underneath but on left hand side like a raised tube shape going sort of length of belly , know this sounds bit silly but i thought could be like something feeding the foal?? thanks for info tho wasnt sure at what age colts could and would cover. thanks x

If she can be handled get your equine vet to scan her, I'd say.

At 18 months yes the colt is perfectl able to cover her, best bet get the vet.
