Help...Puppy won't stop licking me....

Hello everyone, my 6 month old Sporting Lucas X Parsons Russell, (who is great in pretty every other way), likes to 'wash' me at most given oppotunities, my legs when i'm sitting down hands and arms if we are having a cuddle. As loving as it is, it is now starting to drive me a bit potty, I don't really see him wash himself though, so I wasn't sure if it is a natural reflex and he is just missing the point? When He does it I just push him away, and say no, or off (learnt that one at puppy school!)
Any ideas as to why he is doing this will be greatly recieved!!!

He will be licking the salt of your skin. He just needs to learn that you find it unacceptable.

Tell him off/no and then perhaps give him an alternative like a chew toy.
 
If you are using some type of body scrub or body butter, it might be that he likes the taste of that.

Indeed. Popple loves body lotion/face cream/bio oil/hand cream. Strange little creature
