Hi

can anyone tell me if either the wide leg fitting Ariat grassmere or Tuffa norfolk boots would accomodate 19" calfs, also do the foot sizes come up large/small etc?

Ariat Grasmere - Foot size is normal i.e. don't come up big or small, but I don't think they will take a 19" calf. I have 16" calfs that fit easily, but don't think even with the laces opened right up they would accommodate another 3".

Grasmere foot size is normal but .... I wear a standard size calf (15 1/2 - 16 in) in all other boots and when my Grasmere's arrived I was quite embarassed - I couldn't zip them up without letting the laces out.

So I would go so far as to say that the calf width comes up small - either that or I am a total porker and won't admit it :D

I have a pair of Windemere's (think thats what they are called) and they are a good fit - also have an elasticated part at the top, wear well to - though mine are not abused and I have never used them to muck out.

ETA - just noticed you said wide fitting - didn't know there was a wide fitting in Grasmere's - if there are then would probably be an idea to try

I wish that they would make the grasmere in gents sizes.
They look really comfy but the suposed gents version looks like an ill fitted brown suede wellington.
Sometimes I think that men are not meant to ride because if they were the clothing manufacturers would make modern looking well fitted clothing for us as well.

Hi I have a 17/18" calf and the wide fitting Grasmeres fit me - just! Hubby has some wide Ariat Rydels which are to big in the calf for me  (and him but they were in the sale!! :D)

xx

Ariat are wonderful, but do need to reassess their definition of "wide-fitting"!
the new Trents should fit, I cant get into Grasmeres and Conistons do up but lool AWFUl! Trents are great, and not too badly priced! The Toggi long boots wide fit is also suitable for those of is who have extremely well-developed calf muscles. :o
