I was completely not expecting a reply but I've just had an email - they said I can take her for free as they are mostly concerned with a 'loving home' rather than the money - absolutely gobsmacked!

Have emailed OH (expecting a big fat NO) and now trying to contact SHWA to see if they have any advice - I did say in my message to the owner that I might not be able to take her myself but would do my utmost to get her into a breed rescue or foster situation which she said she was happy with. In the meantime, anyone on here, I'm begging you - can you take this dog?! What else can I do?! :(

A small domestic has ensued. Can somebody tell me how I ended up with such a pig of a man when I made it clear from the outset of our relationship that animals came first? He still whinges about the amount of time and money I spend with the horse - after seven years together. Horse was there long before he was.

I feel your pain :( My OH didnt want any dog ever, and he ended up with Tyson AKA Devil dog...then Bryony plus the three horses I had at the time... The foot has finally gone down, I am allowed no more pets. Not even a rabbit I tried to buy when we were in Pets at Home.

Re the Husky, there must be someone with the space/experience/nice OH that can take her :(

I would have had her but Tassy doesnt get on with girls-we have a spare kennel -but its not really the life she needs- being kennelled! She looks like she needs more love bles her :(
Can your OH not agree to take her in short term?

I really hope she finds a good home

Budge up then, you'll have to make room for a fat arse, two wolfydogs and a rotund cob! :D Do you reckon I can fit all my worldly possessions in an 18 year old Nissan Micra?

Course you can, cob on roofrack, wolfydogs pulling it - thus saving petrol! :D See you really do need another one to even out the team :p

Nope, the foot has Come Down and I probably won't be spoken to for the next week.

Fingers crossed but there's a few promising murmurs on the husky forum...

ETA: I have emailed to ask about temperament/spaying/vaccs/history etc., awaiting a reply

Right BC. I will share some tips with you. This is how I win... always.

You need to get in that shower, shave those legs and make yourself beautiful. Then get yourself off to ann summers and buy some horribly slutty undies. You need to be wearing these on the couch when he gets home....

Also load up Call of Duty or whatever game he likes ready for him and make him food / buy in pizza if you cant cook. And beer. Beer always helps.

If that doesn't work... cry. Men can not handle tears and they just say 'Sorry' and 'yes' to whatever you ask them when you are crying.

:D :p

LML - I am SHOCKED!:eek::eek:

**takes notes**:D

The most worrying thing is that you know I haven't shaved my legs in a while.

'scuse my absence, had to go to the opticians (age is catching up with me :o) and have bought a pack of Sainsbury's custard donuts as a bribe to speak to me again.

Where is she? is this a pre loved thing or similar?

Yep, a Preloved one. Bear with me here... the original ad asked for £200, I spoke to the owner by email, she said she'd give her up for free to a good home. Subsequently two people on the husky forum have called up but her son answered instead and was insistent that he wanted £200.

Latest news is that another husky forum person has got through to the original woman and, pending approval from her landlord, might be able to take her (for free). Fingers crossed, it's all very friend-of-a-friend and I don't know quite what's going on now.

She's in Telford, Shropshire, and I'm just concerned because she looks such a state. :(

Fingers crossed it works out. Someone from GSD Rescue is contacting the people with the shepherd to offer advice and see if he would be suitable for anyone on their waiting list.

If all that fails just trade him in for a model that works away a lot, preferably abroad with a big house land and a lot of money, if you cant find one it's going to be several journeys in that car!!!!

What did that T shirt say

(on the front) He said "it's me or the horse " and on the back "We'll miss him won't we!"

I bet it's exactly that, they'll complain that they're feeding her huge bowlfuls but it'll be coming straight out the other end. She'll be all itchy and sore if it's a food allergy. :(
