Can someone who has a CAIR saddle please tell me if it is supposed to be hard and solid, or quite soft ie you can push the panels in a bit with your fingers?

I was inder the illusion that CAIR was reputed to be quite hard, but my new saddle (which Im ranting about in another thread LOL), well the Cair panels seem rather soft like they would mould with the horses back? Im worried they may have deflated or something?

I will of course be having my saddle fitter check it before I put it on my horses back but Im thinking of opening a dispute regarding the saddle for other reaons, so Im wondering if this si something to add to my list, considering the saddle apparantly had no wear.

Mine is soft, and as it warms to the horse moulds to his back better. Where possible I will try and leave horse with saddle on and loose girth for 5 mins so panels warm up before fully girthing up.

ooh thanks that makes me feel a lot better, Ive just heard people complain that CAIR can be too hard on the horses back, but the CaIr on this saddle feels quite forgiving.

My Bates Caprilli with Cair was quite hard

It was'nt much softer than a standard wool panel? Flair on the other hand is very soft I think.

I used to have a Bates GP too and the Cair on that was very hard, thats why I wasa bit concerned about this new saddle as its quite soft.
Unless they have updated it or something?
