Does anyone know a real good conditioning mix please. Horse is currently on C & C Horse and pony nuts, Alfa A Oil and SB however he is going off C&C and he has always prefered a mixed base food. Im wanting as much condition as possible with NO fizz. Thanks xx

Mine's a fussy eater but loves Spillers conditioning cubes. Mine had them when on box rest and didn't heat him up at all (a miracle considering he's a nutty TB) and he's looking really well on them.

I feed my TB's Allen & Page's Calm & Condition...does what it says on the packet! But it's pellets that when mixed with water becomes almost a mash...and as your looking for a mix type feed i've tried 'Ride & Relax' before and would recommend.

Agree, Ride and Relax is an excellent mix, high in oil but low in sugar so doesnt send them loopy. Keeps them looking really well. Only other thing can think off is Topspec cool condition cubes, but again they are cubes. Baileys Topline conditioning mix is good, but you may find sends him loopy

Alfa-A Oil, Speedibeet and Top Spec - and then add TS cool condition cubes if he still needs more condition.

Calm and Condition is 20 ish % starch so may send him fizzy

Mine can also be a bit fussy but I like to keep him off mixes and stick to cubes as he's VERY fizzy!

Currently on Spillers Top line cubes but I'm thinking of moving onto Topspec Cool Condition cubes along with hifi and balancer.

To be honest, if he is not fizzy on C&C, then you could try Spiller's Conditioning Mix. The difference in starch levels between the two is only 1%, so can't see it would make much difference re: fizziness.

I tried Calm & Conditioning Mix on my TB x Hann & it sent him loopy. Did the opposite of what it should have. I then moved him onto Ride & Relax & it suits him. He has that, some Blue Chip & Hifi Lite & his condition is fantastic. He';s maintained his weight through the winter & looks really good.

I used to feed my horse Balanced Horse Feeds Show Mix. Its sounds like its full of sugar and starch, but is nearly 20% fibre, so he put the condition on without the oomph! Its a complete mix feed, with vits and mins and about £10 a bag.
