I've got a yearling warmblood filly I bought about three months ago. She's very fine skinned and although she comes in at night I need some rugs to keep her warm and dry during the day. The problem is she's 15hh now and although a 6' rug fits her from withers to bum all the ones I've tried are too deep and gape around the neck! I can do darts in the neck, but can't do much about the depth without completely re-making the rugs! Does anyone know of any brands of rug which are quite shallow or anyone making foal rugs for something her size?
Any help gratefully recieved!

The Saxon rugs (think they used to be weatherbeeta) rugs are very shallow- most horses look like they're wearing a mini skirt! They're also nice and cheap - have a look on ebay.

You could easily move the chest straps to get the neck right.
