Hi all,

So I've tried Andy Wheals and Bridlepath International but neither of them can fit us in for at least 3 weeks Heard not so good things about the lady at Beaver Hall so not going to try there...

The problem is I had my mares back checked and it was slightly sore, uneven flocking in saddles was suspected and advised to get them checked asap.
Unfortunately, the day after that my mare tied up and was on box rest for 2 1/2 weeks & obviously couldn't get saddles checked until she was able to have a saddle on her back/be ridden again. Now vet has said I must get on her asap and start bringing her back into work and to give her no more than 1 day a week off (this is imperative).....but I can't get anyone out within the next week to check her saddles!!

Can anyone recommend me a saddle fitter that might be able to come out urgently please???

Try Meynall Saddlery at Brailsford, or Kick On Equestrian up near McArthur Glenn.

Or I believe the new place at Cavendish Bridge (near shardlow) has a saddle fitter too. They used to be Spondon Saddlery but have moved and are onsite at a riding school now.

HTH

Thanks Katt....

I won't touch ex-spondon saddlery with a 100 foot bargepole...(for reasons I won't go into on here! lol).

Will try Meynell....didn't know about them..

Was going to try Kick on as had previously heard good things about them, then came on here a saw a couple of people slating them...have you had any experience with them??

My instructor recommended Kick On to us for the horse we were planning to buy, as it fell through I haven't tried them.

Meynall used to be Hulland Saddlery so pretty long established and well respected. Kick On used to be Hope Valley Saddlery.

Hope that Meynell can help you.

Kick On trades from where Hope valley used to. Not the same thing.

Might not be much help but I used Sally Cartwright based at Beaver Hall and had a fantastic service from her, would highly recommend her.
