Help saddler problems!! Advice needed

I am wondering if anyone can give me advice a month ago a had a saddle fitter come and fit me a jump saddle.. I've used her before and always been happy with the outcome however.. She Fitted me a brand new loxely jump at a nice price of £1400.


i asked if I could have it on trial before I purchased it however she said there's a 3 month guarantee with all her saddles so if I or my horse are not happy it can be swapped or a refund given.

just one month in my horse started to get rubbed from the saddle where it's moving behind and became very sore so I have stopped riding in it all together but for the last 2 weeks have tried and failed to get hold of said saddle lady.. I have had a text to say she's away but I think she's avoiding me
me.

does anyone know where I stand with regards to my rights in stuck with a saddle that I can't use.

If you have a receipt stating the right to exchange or return the saddle within three months, then I would like to think that you can do so. Keep chasing her, perhaps by email so that you have proof of when the issue appeared, etc? If you haven't had issues before with her, she may well just be on holiday :) Hope you get sorted soon.
 
Most saddle fitters get work through recommendations - I'm not saying name & shame her yet - try again to get intouch & give her a deadline to get back to you, saddle shouldn't be rubbing but maybe needs slight adjustment ?
Where does she trade from - maybe go there ? You old only have to mention an area that she is from & the sort of saddle & a lot of people in your area would know who it was - I would only do this after exhausting other venues though - hope things sorted quickly xx
 
It may also be that the flocking has settled as the symptoms you describe are often those of a saddle that has dropped in front and is no longer sitting flat on his back.

Rather than ask her to refund your money start by asking her to come and check the fit and adjust where possible.

Hopefully this will be the root of your problem.
 
Mine gets rubs behind during coat change times of year with his perfectly well fitting saddle, a combination of how he moves and his chestnut sensitive :p numnah selection is therefore particularly careful at this time of year.

She has contacted and said she is away (has she said when she will be back?)

Yes this, mine does too.

Edited to ad, does she have a facebook page you could leave a comment on asking her to contact you about checking the fit of the saddle you bought from her? Can't be ignored so easily as a text, and if it is, its visible to all..
