Hello lovely people, I'm looking for some advice/experiences. I have had my TB mare for a fair few months. She came to me very underweight and a little depressed. I have been feeding Hifi Original with Baileys Keep Calm sugar beet and a magnesium supplement. This has really helped and she now has a lovely round belly.. but I dont want her to put on any more weight. The problem is she still has no topline/muscle. I understand with more work this will come but I was wondering if anyone has any experiences with the Equilibrium or Baileys balancers that would help her with this alongside her ridden work. I also dont want anything that will make her fizzy as some diets have proven to give her a bit too much energy hehe. Thank you :)

Protein aids muscle building, balancers have that. If she does not need any more weight, a balancer may help provide the protein but as you know, the work is what matters. Correct work will make muscle more than any feed.

That's along the lines of what I'm thinking. She has put on the weight she needed and she is much happier. Her ridden work has been increasing and her schooling has come on a long way but she still has a way to go and I'm worried her current feed isnt giving her everything she needs. :)

Yes I would feed her a balancer perhaps the forage plus performance balancer .
You might also consider the supplement Myoplast which has to fed when the horse is in work , I have some great results using this .
