Help,

I've just bought this chap, he's riding 6yrs, irish gelding, came with no passport and needs a show name. Going to be doing BSPA classes this season (large native). Stable name is Toffee.

Any ideas on a good show name?! I'm stumped!

So far have come up with the following (none I really like though)

DOUBLE DUTCH
DUTCH COURAGE
DUN KING
BUTTERKIST
DUN NOTHING

I think he needs a goo strong name but have no idea what!

Congratulations. You have named him yourself. I think "I'm Stumped" is an awsome show name and you can call him Ime or Stumpie (?) for short!!!

What a smart lad:D

I once knew a horse called Mixed Colours and thought it would be a great name for a show horse.
I like one word names for horses of his type if possible as they are stronger sounding.

He is lovely, but I don't think he has enough feather to be shown as a native imo - I think he would look fantastic all clipped out/hogged as a cob :)

Nope def enough feather to show as a native, its just a bit dirty in photos and not brushed out. He's got as much feather as any welsh cob would have but less than a traditional. I want to try native type as thats what we have been advised and if no joy then I may consider hogging him, but he's almost got too much of a pretty face to hog! I am liking Dunstopable! lol, keep ideas coming!

Does your house or yard have a good name? My new coloured is called 'merlin of oakwood'. The horse is called merlin and our house is oakwood cottage.
