I am going to my first ever showing comp this weekend! Jods came today and im not sure about the colour!!! ( i was expecting a light creamy beige) as they are yellowy. Its too late to order anymore, I would have to drive around for miles..

Please tell me if they look bad with my tweed!

Do they look bad? Are they ok for the ring?:(

I like the jods :) but to me it is all a little bit miss matched :/ green jacket , navy gloves , burgandy tie , white shirt , canary jods .. Sorry ..I'm trying to help not pick holes ;) a cream shirt would look nice and maybe navy tie ?

I was always told that tan gloves were correct no matter what the colour of the jacket

The jods are fine btw but would also go with a cream shirt :)

If it's not a schoolshirt, then wash it with some yellow dusters and it'll come out the perfect shade of cream :D I like the tie, and aree that brown gloves would be more correct but if you don't have any it won't matter. My sister resolutely stuck to wearing her skull cap with a flipped up silk for county showing, and didn't suffer for it...

Thanks guys! I usually jump/dressage so used to white and black, this is such a last minute throw together!
My hat, boots and gloves are black (i couldnt really afford new navy and brown ones as showing is rare for me:()
So if i dye the shirt with dusters and change the tie would that look better? I could wear a black one to match hat ect but not sure if i have navy.

Does anyone know how to do they duster trick? do you just wash together at about 40? Sorry im a noob

Just chuck them in the wash as per usual :D We do it with all show jods to get the yellow look. I wouldn't change the tie, I think it looks smart and very correct.

If all your other bits r black .. Go with the cream shirt and the red wine coloured tie :) not a black tie ..never a black tie :) :)

Jods look perfect, same colour as mine. Just change the colour of the shirt and you will be fine. If you have to use the black string you get at shows tuck the bow inside you jacket otherwise use plaiting thread it looks neater. Good luck at your show and have fun.

The jods are a nice colour I really like them :) definitely agree with cream shirt. I would change to brown gloves and a dark red tie. Local charity shops have some really fun ties I've found :D does your tweed jacket have any obvious colours running through it? I can't tell from the pick?

Love the jods!! Just get a lemon or cream shirt if you can, white is too stark, I would look for a burgundy tie and brown gloves. Don't forget the hairnet!! Good luck!
