sound like there are a few man haters on this thread? xx

If that is aimed at me - then you couldnt' be further from the truth. I just thought that marriage - or having long term partners etc - meant 'sharing', 'supporting' etc. And in this particular situation if I were watching my partner go through the anguish that OP is going through - then I would do everything in my power to help them. Isn't that what love is all about??

I agree!

My and boyf haven't been together too long but he's already said that if things progress then he realises that he'll be picking up the bills for Ty

I did try not to grin too broadly.....ahem....and I did ask if he fancied getting himself a nice ISH.....

Seriously though, if you're in a stable relationship then maybe there are ways that he could help you out for a while? Although I suppose it shouldn't be taken for granted - after all the horses are our hobbies, not theirs. x

No wasnt aimed at anyone really - so no need to get you knickers in a twist! :-) was said in humor than anything!!

It wasnt suppossed to be insulting -was just a passing comment.

Yes you do need to be supportive etc but a horse is a luxury ....... and a big one at that!!

Dont get me wrong tho - if the debt that is causing trouble was the OH fault too - then he needs to be helping out with that DEFO - maybe not with the horse but DEFO the debt and then maybe horse troubles would be non existant!

I love men - got a right good one and have had good ones in the past and I am sure if I ever had to get another - there will be some nice ones about !! Cant beat a bloke with a fat wallet !! HA HA

Could I ask tho ..... (and this is a question not a dig )

would you give up your horse if your OH had a financial problem and they were really down about it and knowing you could solve all your problems together if you sold you horse?

would it work the other way ???

I bet not many people would - which in a way is bad too!! (I dont think I would - but I know my OH would only expect it if it was a real bad unfortunate debt that wasnt his fault and then I would!)
